Shelagh McKail, Course Director, String Orchestra
Shelagh enjoys a varied career as a musician and music educator. She holds the position of Number 4 Viola in the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and freelances with a number of orchestras including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Scottish Chamber Orchestra. She is also a founding member of Glisk, a string quartet with an interest in exploring contemporary repertoire of diverse styles.
Shelagh is also committed to music education and is an upper strings instructor with South Ayrshire Instrumental Music Service. She is a viola tutor for West of Scotland Schools Orchestras, NYOS and the Benedetti Foundation.
