The symphony orchestra Leader & Concerto Competition took place at the City Halls, Glasgow on Wednesday 8th February with 11 members performing to a good sized audience of family and friends. The event was adjudicated by WSSSO Artistic Director, James Lowe. 

 The Leader Competition was won by Sean Morrison from South Ayrshire. Sean will lead the orchestra during the 2017 season.

 The Concerto Competition was won by Adam Lee from North Ayrshire who performed the 1st movement of Malcolm Arnold’s Clarinet Concerto no.2. Adam will perform the whole concerto at the main concerts in June at the GRCH New Auditorium and in August at the City Halls.
