The ensemble is directed by Chris Mitchell and tutoring staff are experienced, professional performers and teachers. The ensemble meets several times during the year and activities include a residential course at Gartmore House and a large-scale concert performance in Glasgow.
As well as music training and rehearsals, the team at Gartmore provide a programme of team-building games and social activities. In 2016 this included a Bhangra dancing session with Anuj Choudhary, a ceilidh, barbeque and bonfire.
Additional activities in 2016 included a Taster Day event, attendance as special guests at an RSNO Concert and a Side by Side day with performers from the RSNO and a recording session.
