- Partner Local Authority Contributions
- University of Strathclyde Professional & Management Services
- Fundraising & Sponsorship
Member Contributions for season 2020
- Senior ensembles: £350 (£450 for independent school pupils & pupils from outwith WSSO local authority catchment area).

Local Authority Contributions
Each partner local authority annually provides funding of approximately £170 per member towards the cost of provision and release instrumental tutors from normal teaching duties to help deliver the calendar of activities.
University of Strathclyde
The University of Strathclyde provides professional services including Management, Finance, Human Resources and Payroll and office facilities at the city centre campus in Glasgow.
Fundraising & Sponsorship
Like all charities, WSSO Trust works hard to raise funds each year, submitting applications to trusts and funding organisations and building strong relationships with individuals and organisations who wish to support the work of the Trust. This support helps us to provide exceptional training and performance opportunities for young people while keeping the cost for members at a lower level than would otherwise be the case.
WSSO Trust was set up and is overseen by the 12 local authorities of the former Strathclyde Region. A full list is available on our website under Charity Information. The Trust welcomes independent school pupils and those from outwith the WSSO catchment area as long as no partner local authority pupils are denied a place as a result. These members (ie. External Members) are asked to pay an additional £100 to make up part of the shortfall in funding which partner local authorities provide for their own members. Please note, although external members pay slightly more, they still benefit greatly from the core funding provided by other sources listed above.
